A True Taste of Tri-Faith
Saturday, March 11
4 PM – 6 PM CDT
Countryside Community Church

Sometimes, we gather to celebrate; but in times of need, we gather to support those who are hurting. That’s the power of building a resilient community across differences.
In this spirit, we are proud to announce a reimagined Taste of Tri-Faith gathering to help support American Muslim Institute’s (AMI) efforts for earthquake relief in Turkey and Syria.
On Saturday, March 11, from 4 PM to 6 PM, we will hold a coffeehouse gathering at the Common Grounds inside Countryside Community Church. Members from Temple Israel, AMI and Countryside will bring food and snacks to share. Musicians and poets will also be arranged to perform with speakers, including clergy mixed in throughout.
Dr. Ramazan Kilinç, a Turkish University of Nebraska at Omaha professor who has been organizing the support efforts through AMI, will address the work that is already being done and give an update on what still needs to be done by that time.
This event is open to the public, and we encourage attendees to bring financial donations; there will be QR codes to scan for those who wish to give digitally. Should AMI still need help sorting the in-kind donations, there will be sign-up sheets available with time slots for people to volunteer.
Due to the instability in Syria, all funds raised will be directed toward the Nebraskans for Türkiye: Earthquake Relief Fund so that the greatest impact can be achieved for people affected in both countries.
We hope you will join us to stand together in solidarity. In the meantime, please consider making direct donations to the Nebraskans for Türkiye: Earthquake Relief Fund if you are able.
NOTE: There will be photos and videos taken at this event; by attending this event, you agree to you and your loved ones potentially being photographed/filmed as part of a crowd.
