Crucial Conversations are a way for community members to come together and discuss the difficult aspects of religion. Often at the intersections of race, ethnicity, gender expression, and sexuality, religion has played a role in limiting or erasing those identities. Yet, religion continues to play a large role within our society. This Crucial Conversation will focus on race, ethnicity, religion, and spirituality.
At Tri-Faith Initiative, we recognize the continued tension between such identities and religion and these conversations are essential to help bring our community together, to build empathy and understanding, and to celebrate the identities that make us who we are.
This online event is welcoming and affirming to all to be open and willing to discuss these topics.
Co-hosted in partnership with Inclusive Communities and Clair Memorial United Methodist Church
