T’filah is the Hebrew word for prayer.
Join Temple Israel for a traditional Shabbat morning service, followed by an educational community luncheon.
What to expect:
Traditional worship service open to all, including children. Parents of young children are encouraged to provide books or something quiet to do while the service is taking place so others are able to pray and participate.
Kiddush Luncheon includes bagels with cream cheese, tuna salad, egg salad, fresh fruit, and sweets for dessert.
What to wear:
Most people wear dress pants, nice tops, suits or dresses. While formal dress is not required, we request that you save your blue jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts and tennis shoes for other activities.
Men and women may choose to wear a head covering or not. We do provide a basket of kippot if you would like to wear one. Tallit (prayers shawls) are welcome but we do not provide them.
