Nebraska’s New Inclusive Social Studies Standards

The Nebraska Board of Education unanimously approved inclusive social studies standards creating a refreshing opportunity to change the way kids are learning U.S. History. According to Time magazine “For the first time in state history the new standards underwent a separate review to check for bias. The result is meant to provide more diverse examples of historical people and events, and to urge teaching the perspectives of “marginalized and underrepresented groups.” Thank you to all who contributed to this change for good.
