Coronavirus Update: Tri-Faith Initiative’s Spring Programming Moves Online
Dear Tri-Faith family and friends,
We have been closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. As the situation continues to evolve, Tri-Faith’s top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our community, both on and off the Tri-Faith Commons.
Local, state, and federal health and safety officials have recommended social distance as a measure we should implement to protect those most vulnerable in our communities. In an effort to isolate the Coronavirus rather than our communities, Tri-Faith Initiative has decided to move the remainder of our spring gatherings, including all Tri-Faith programs, meetings, and classes, to an online platform. We are also looking into ways to host Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) meetups and mixers, Tri-Faith Commons tours, and other educational opportunities online.
This is an opportunity for us to be creative in exploring new ways to connect with one another online. In the spirit of maintaining connectedness in the midst of social isolation, we look forward to providing innovative meeting spaces online. We also want to encourage all of our Tri-Faith family and friends to check in with one another digitally, particularly those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19, during this time.
In lieu of gathering together in person for “Imagine… Gathering to Celebrate Difference” next week, Tri-Faith Initiative will be hosting Social Connections and Loving Kindness: An Online Conversation with Dr. Ferial Pearson, Founder of the Secret Kindness Agents, on Monday, March 16 at 11:30 am CST.
Tri-Faith will be utilizing Zoom for many of our online gatherings this spring. If you’ve never joined a Zoom meeting before, click here to download the app for your phone or computer and watchthis short video with instructions on how to participate.
Stay tuned as details are finalized for all of our spring gatherings.
We look forward to seeing you online!
